CAMBODIA EXCELLENCE LABEL™ – CXL ACCREDITATION
A SDG-driven standard for responsible, inclusive,
and sustainable excellence in Cambodia
INTRODUCTION
Through a globally aligned accreditation scheme tailored to Cambodia’s economic context and development priorities, the Cambodia Excellence Label™ – CXL Accreditation Program recognizes organizations that demonstrate responsible business practices, measurable social and environmental impact, and sustained commitment to the Kingdom’s long-term development.
By completing this application form, your organization affirms its commitment to:
- Responsible and ethical business conduct
- Measurable impact for people and the planet
- Continuous improvement and long-term progress
ACCREDITATION FEES
The Cambodia Excellence Label™ is designed to remain accessible and affordable while ensuring trusted recognition and impact for all accredited organizations. Different fees apply to support the evaluation process.
Initial non-refundable application fee: To initiate the accreditation process, applicants are required to pay a non-refundable initial application fee before any eligibility screening or review begins. This fee must be submitted together with your completed application form and covers eligibility screening, coordination, and the initial review of your documentation:
Small and medium organizations: USD 450 (non-refundable)
Large organizations: USD 600 (non-refundable)
Balance due upon successful accreditation: If your organization is successfully accredited, you will be requested to pay the balance due as follows;
Small organizations, once accredited: USD 2,150 (Total: USD 2,600)
Medium organizations, once accredited: USD 2,400 (Total: USD 2,850)
Large organizations, once accredited: USD 2,500 (Total: USD 3,100)
ACCREDITATION SCHEME & RATING
All applications are assessed by an independent Evaluation Committee of three judges using a structured, transparent scoring framework. Organizations are evaluated across: Governance & Integrity; CSR Strategy & SDG Alignment; Implementation of Initiatives; Social Impact; Economic Impact; Environmental Impact; Innovation & Partnerships; Measurable Results and Continuous Improvement.
STAR RATING (1–5 STARS)
- Accredited Organization 1 star – Basic Performance: Foundations in place, with a clear dedication to continuous improvement.
- Accredited Organization 2 stars – Emerging Performance: Proven impact in one of the three pillars of sustainable development (economic growth, social equity, or environmental stewardship).
- Accredited Organization 3 stars – Solid Performance: Proven impact and consistent results across two of the three pillars.
- Accredited Organization 4 stars – Advanced Performance: Proven impact and consistent results across all three pillars.
- Accredited Organization 5 stars – Excellence and Exemplary Performance: Leading and Inspiring CSR Best Practices.
All accredited organizations receive the CXL official badge and certificate of recognition indicating their star rating. Accreditation remains valid for 2 years, with the option to increase the awarded star level following verified progress.
Organizations that are not accredited will receive confidential written guidance outlining areas for improvement and may submit a new application form after implementing the Evaluation Committee’s recommendations and documenting measurable progress.
EVALUATION METHODOLOGY
Each SDG category and initiative is assessed according to a 5-level maturity scale:
- Not yet – No concrete actions have been undertaken in this area so far.
- Initial steps – Awareness has been raised and first informal or pilot actions have been initiated.
- In progress / Developing – Clear measures and plans are being designed and progressively implemented.
- Operational / Measurable impact – Structured initiatives are in place, with evidence of tangible results and positive outcomes.
- Advanced / Demonstrated excellence – Practices are well-established, regularly monitored, and demonstrate strong, sustained impact over time.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION & VERIFICATION
CXL may request additional information and supporting evidence (e.g., documents, data, KPIs, community or stakeholder testimonials, third-party audits) and reserves the right to conduct interviews and on-site visits to verify any statements made in this application.
CONFIDENTIALITY
All information provided is strictly confidential and used solely by the CXL Coordination Team and the Evaluation Committee for assessment purposes.
