CXL ACCREDITATION

A value-driven Accreditation Program open to all

The Cambodia Excellence Label Accreditation, distinct from the CSR Impact Affiliation Program and the CXL Annual Awards, is open to any organization operating in Cambodia, across all sectors and sizes, including private and public entities, SMEs and large companies, NGOs and social enterprises.

Eligibility Criteria

The UN 2030 Agenda sets out 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with concrete targets such as improving people’s lives (good health and well-being, no poverty, zero hunger, peace and justice), fostering shared prosperity (resilient infrastructure, sustainable industrialization, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, reduced inequalities), ensuring access to quality education and lifelong learning, promoting decent and sustainable work, and preserving natural resources (climate action, life on land, and life below water). The Cambodia Excellence Label’s Accreditation Scheme is grounded in these universal goals.

To be eligible for the CXL Accreditation Program, applicants must complete online the application form and submit evidence of their CSR practices and outcomes across the three pillars of sustainable development (economic growth, social equity, and environmental stewardship). An Evaluation Committee of three independent judges then reviews the concrete and measurable results of these initiatives and programs, as well as their wider societal impact, using a rigourous and transparent evaluation framework focused on: Integration, Dedication & Continuous Improvement; Governance & SDG Alignment; Evidence & Maturity; Leadership & Innovation; and Global & Inspiring Impact.

Accreditation Scheme & Rating

The Cambodia Excellence Label’s Accreditation is awarded by an Evaluation Committee of three independent judges using a rigorous, transparent framework to assess each applicant’s initiatives and programs, their level and scope of deployment, measurable outcomes and proven impact, and dedication to continuous improvement. Applications are then scored and converted into a 1–5 star rating, reflecting the maturity and impact of the organization’s CSR efforts:

Accredited Organization 1 star: Basic Performance: Foundations in place, with a clear dedication to continuous improvement.

Accredited Organization 2 stars: Emerging Performance: Proven impact in one of the three pillars of sustainable development (economic growth, social equity, or environmental stewardship).

Accredited Organization 3 stars: Solid Performance: Proven impact and consistent results across two of the three pillars.

Accredited Organization 4 stars: Advanced Performance: Proven impact and consistent results across all three pillars.

Accredited Organization 5 stars: Excellence and Exemplary Performance: Leading and Inspiring CSR Best Practices.

All accredited organizations receive a specific badge and an official certificate indicating their star rating. Accreditation remains valid for 2 years, with the option to increase the awarded star level following verified progress.

Organizations that are not accredited will receive confidential written feedback and may submit a new application form after implementing the Evaluation Committee’s recommendations and documenting measurable progress.
