The Cambodia Excellence Label™ is a pioneering, value-driven CSR Impact and Accreditation Program that encourages, promotes, and rewards sustainable and responsible practices in Cambodia. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and open to organizations of all sectors and sizes, it focuses on a trusted accreditation of CSR best practices and governance, granted under strict criteria by an evaluation committee of three independent judges. 

Beyond the Accreditation Scheme, the Label also builds public awareness of the SDGs through a CSR Impact and affiliation program for organizations and individuals who commit to the pathway to excellence, and to advancing the Global Goals for the benefit of the wider economy and society. The program is further supported by the CXL Charter of Commitment, a dedicated Knowledge Hub, which highlights inspiring case studies and succes stories, and an Annual Awards recognizing leading businesses that strive for impact.

The Cambodia Excellence Label™ CSR Impact and Accreditation Program is open to any organization operating in Cambodia, across all sectors and sizes, including private and public entities, SMEs and large companies, NGOs, and social enterprises, whether they aim to obtain a trusted accreditation, champion the UN Sustainable Development Goals, become an Early Supporter or Official Sponsor.

To be eligible for the Accreditation Program, applicants must complete the application form and submit evidence of their CSR practices and outcomes across the three pillars of sustainable development (economic growth, social equity, and environmental stewardship). An Evaluation Committee of three independent judges then reviews the concrete and measurable results of these initiatives and programs, as well as their wider societal impact, using a transparent evaluation framework focused on: Integration, Dedication & Continuous Improvement; Governance & SDG Alignment; Evidence & Maturity; Leadership & Innovation; and Global & Inspiring Impact.

The Cambodia Excellence Label™ Accreditation Program is awarded by an Evaluation Committee of three independent judges using a rigorous, transparent framework to assess each applicant’s initiatives and programs, their level and scope of deployment, measurable results and proven impact, and dedication to continuous improvement. Applications are then scored and converted into a 1–5 star rating, reflecting the maturity and impact of the organization’s CSR efforts: 

1 star: Basic Performance: Foundations in place, with a clear dedication to continuous improvement.

2 stars: Emerging Performance: Proven impact in one of the three pillars of sustainable development (economic growth, social equity, or environmental stewardship).

3 stars: Solid Performance: Proven impact and consistent results across two of the three pillars.

4 stars: Advanced Performance: Proven impact and consistent results across all three pillars.

5 stars: Excellence and Exemplary Performance: Leading and Inspiring CSR Best Practices.

All accredited organizations receive a specific badge and an official certificate indicating their star rating. Accreditation remains valid for 2 years, with the option to increase the awarded star level following verified progress.

Organizations that are accredited will receive confidential written feedback and may submit a new application after implementing the Evaluation Committee’s recommendations and documenting measurable progress.

The CXL Accreditation Program is designed to remain accessible and affordable while delivering trusted market recognition and measurable impact, both locally and globally. Accreditation fees are calibrated to organizational size and the scope of evaluation, and range from USD 2,600 for small organizations, USD 2,850 for medium organizations, and USD 3,100 for large organizations.

Upon submission of the official CXL Application Form, applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application fee (USD 450 for small and medium organizations; USD 600 for large organizations). The application fee covers administrative handling, eligibility screening, and coordination of the judging process, ensuring the smooth management of each application and fair treatment for all candidates. Only applicants who successfully meet the accreditation criteria will be invited to proceed with the final accreditation fee payment (balance due upon accreditation).

In terms of trusted labels and certifications, most of the available options remain limited in Cambodia and often costly and complex to apply. It is specifically designed for local organizations operating in and from Cambodia to honor responsible business orientations as well as all those committed to striving for impact. All application materials and attached files are treated as strictly confidential and are shared only with the Evaluation Committee and the Coordination team for the sole purpose of accreditation review and verification. No information will be disclosed without the applicant’s prior written consent. If an applicant is not accredited, the submission remains confidential and is not made public.
